It is supposed to be a beautiful weekend, so head outside and enjoy!   Here are some indoor and outdoor ideas of where to go and what to do.

  1. Go to an early Easter Egg Hunt!  Easter Eggstravaganza (Frying Pan Park, Herndon, VA) or Sully Historic Site Easter Egg Hunt (Chantilly, VA).  Check out my Easter Egg Hunt post for more information.
  2. Visit to NASA Goddard Space Flight Visitor Center, Greenbelt, MD.  Great for both school aged kids and toddlers, with hands on stuff for kids to do.  From the large bin of space toys and the dress-up chest to the animated data movie and real space shuttle cockpit, there is something for everyone.  Also on the 3rd Sunday of each month, there is the Sunday Experiment Event at the Goddard Visitor Center, a free afternoon of hands-on activities that will let you experience what it’s like to be a NASA engineer.   3. Visit the Donald M Brown Planetarium, Arlington, VA-  Our Place in Space show- Fridays and Saturdays 7:30pm, Sundays 1:30 and 3:00pm    Tickets are $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for seniors 62 and older and children 12 and under.  Donald M Brown Planetarium Site
  4. Attend a tea with the kids- “Mad Hatter” Historic Tea, Tudor Place, Washington, DC-  Straight out of Alice in Wonderland, attend a “Mad Hatter” tea at Tudor Place, March 20 @ 1pm.   Families can try on period clothing and sample teas and desserts in Tudor Place’s historic homes.  Tudor Place site
