Are you as excited as I am that Spring is here!!  Weather is forecasted to be in the high 70s and SUNNY this weekend!  There are many Easter activities planned this weekend as well as Cherry Blossom fun.  Here are my picks for Saturday and Sunday.

  1. Cherry Hill Park Easter Egg Hunt– April 3, 10am  @ Cherry Hill Park, Falls Church—- Hunt for eggs, do a craft, and take pictures with E. Bunny.  Check out my post for even more egg hunt options.  http://www.fallschurchva.gov/Content/Docs/EasterEggFlyer2010.pdf
  2. Southwest Waterfront Musical Prelude to the Fireworks– April 3, 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm @ — A very family friendly event with crafts and music featuring military bands.  Food from local restaurants will be available for sale.  Fireworks start at 8:30.  http://www.nationalcherryblossomfestival.org/events/eng/event_display.php3?event_id=235
  3. The Spring Thing!– April 3, 12pm @ Discovery Theater, Washington, DC— A flower fairy puppet show with lots of audience participation.  Kids will get to dance, sing, and learn how to make the puppets.  Families are welcome to stay after the show for pictures with the Easter Bunny and a treat.  http://www.discoverytheater.org/shows/apr/spring-thing.shtm
  4. Rabbits: Facts and Fables, April 4, 1:30pm – 2:30pm @ Hidden Oaks Nature Center, Annandale —- Families and children ages 4 and above are invited to play with rabbits and learn about the beginning of the Easter Bunny tradition, as well as discover the rabbits native to the area.  Cost is $5 per child.  http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/hiddenoaks/public.htm
