  1. Sakura Matsuri Street Festival– April 10, 11am – 6pm @ 12th Street NW and Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC — A great way to end the Cherry Blossom Festival, this is the largest one-day show of Japanese culture in the US.  There will be Japanese food, beer, arts & crafts, sumo, anime, and bonsai.  The festival is six square blocks through downtown DC, and starts right after the Cherry Blossom Parade.  There is also a 1,600 square feet Children’s Corner, which is a hands-on area to introduce kids to Japanese activities such as origami and Japanese games.
  2. Family Jazz Day- April 10, 1pm – 4pm @ Fort Dupont Activity Center, Washington, DC — April is Jazz Appreciation Month, and the American History Museum and  the National Park Service are hosting Jazz Family Day. There will be activities such as an instrument petting zoo and a performance by Delfeayo Marsalis.  Call 202-426-7723 for more information.
  3. KidSpy Family Festival -April 11, 11am – 2pm @ International Spy Museum, Washington, DC– A fun day for families with kids 7 and up, there will be demos by experts, missions for kids, and spy skill challenges.  Cost is $10 per person.
