Every Wednesday I post links to some great local blogs and sites- a Who, What, and Where of DC Metro blogs.

Fun Fossil Dig– Love this idea of Valerie’s from Frugal Family Fun Blog!  She and her husband took their daughters to a local park for a “fossil” dig to find small toys in the sand volleyball court.  I am so trying this in a year or two!

National Aquarium in DC– Gina from Money Wise Moms wrote a great review on the National Aquarium in DC.  She inspired me to go visit, so maybe it will show up in this blog soon!

An Open Letter to DC Tourists– Rebekah from Mom-in-a -Million wrote a funny (and honest!) letter to all tourists visiting DC on DC Metro Moms.

National Library WeekThe Happy Housewife had a post this week in honor of National Library Week.  As a fellow library lover, I really enjoyed the posts from her archives about local libraries.  Check it out!

Birthdays 2010– Sandra from Three Pumpkins Little wrote this week about her boys’ birthday party, and I fell in love with the amazing dirt cupcakes that she made.  She even made tiny shovels out of pretzels and cinnamon toast cereal.  She has even more creative ideas for a spring birthday party, and I love how she included her sons in the preparation.  I’m definitely bookmarking this post for future parties!
