Storytime is a great way to beat those winter blahs!  Many storytimes weave music and movement into the book reading, so your child will instantly be captivated.  Here are many of the local storytimes in Arlington and surrounding areas.

In Arlington:

Arlington County Library Storytime

Programs are Jan. 10 – May 28, 2011. There is no registration required.

  • Under 2s is a storytime program for children ages two and under and accompanying adults. Singing, dancing, clapping to nursery rhymes, and simple stories will introduce young children to the joys of language and literature. We encourage full and active participation of the accompanying adults.
  • Over 2s is a storytime program for children ages two to five years and an accompanying adult. Read-aloud techniques, songs, fingerplays, puppets, and flannel board tales will introduce young children to listening skills, picture books, the library, and the joy of reading. We encourage full and active participation of accompanying adults.
  • Stop in for Stories is a storytime program for children of all ages and accompanying adults. This fun and interactive program combines activities such as read-aloud stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays and flannel boards and introduces children to listening skills, picture books, the library, and the joy of reading.  We encourage full and active participation of the accompanying adults.
