Hailing from Minneapolis, a fun “kindie” band is coming to Arlington! The Okee Dokee Brothers blend a mixture of bluegrass with a bit of country, pop, and funk to create their own original music. They will be performing at Calvary United Methodist Church as a fundraiser for Calvary Children’s School. There will be two shows- 1:15 & 2:30pm on Saturday, February 19th. Cost is $5 per person, or $20 maximum per family.  You can purchase tickets at the door, or email Dana at danaldougherty@ aol.com or Kendall at pkmcaree@comcast.net to purchase tickets beforehand.

As childhood best friends and band mates growing up in Denver, Colorado, Joe Mailander and Justin Lansing dreamed of being professional singer-songwriters. After years of touring the Midwest with their bluegrass band, Joe and Justin decided to keep their folk roots, but return to where it all began: childhood imagination. That’s when they moved to Minneapolis to start their “kindie” band called The Okee Dokee Brothers.

USA Today says that it is, “Authentic bluegrass for your little brother. Best enjoyed with bare feet.”.

Come with the whole family and check out this great duo!
